Placements24 in Gauteng seeks an HR Generalist with a focus on employee relations in a hybrid role based in Tembisa. You will support management and staff on HR policies, ensure compliance, and help shape HR strategy while fostering a fair, productive work environment.

You will handle grievances, disciplinary actions, onboarding, payroll queries, and benefits, collaborating with line managers and employees to sustain effective HR operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in a generalist HR role focusing on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Experience in disciplinary processes, investigations, and grievances.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Able to work in a hybrid in-office/remote environment.
• Proficient in HRIS and standard office software.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking.
• Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, disputes, disciplinary actions.
• Provide guidance to line managers and employees on HR policies and legislation.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding.
• Administer employee benefits and payroll queries.
• Support performance management and training development.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
• Contribute to HR policy development and procedures.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
