Job summary

Placements24 in Pretoria, South Africa, is seeking a versatile HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across all functions. You will manage day-to-day HR operations, support recruitment, onboarding, ER, performance management, and compliance, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and at least 3 years of HR Generalist experience, with strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in HRIS and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, ER, compensation and benefits.
• Knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA).

Responsibilities

• Manage full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding.
• Support managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Oversee employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Assist in the performance management process, including goal setting and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, such as policy development and system implementation.
• Organize and facilitate employee training and development programs.
• Promote a positive work environment and contribute to employee engagement efforts in Pretoria.
