Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist for our Tembisa, Gauteng facility, with a strong focus on Employee Relations and Compliance. You will manage day-to-day ER matters, conduct investigations, advise management on HR policies, and ensure lawful labor practice across the plant.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in HR or Law, with at least four years' experience in HR, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in HRIS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' HR experience with emphasis on Employee Relations and Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA) and experience in investigations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances and disputes.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and policy violations.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and labor law to management and staff.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor legislation and company policies.
• Develop and deliver training on HR topics, such as disciplinary procedures and code of conduct.
• Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
