Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a well-established organization based in Centurion, Gauteng , is seeking a meticulous and proactive HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on HR compliance. This role is instrumental in ensuring that all HR practices adhere to the latest South African labor laws and industry regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures, conducting regular audits, and providing guidance on compliance matters to management and employees. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Oversee the administration of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits.
• Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Conduct internal HR audits to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise management and employees on employment law, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
• Manage the disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
• Stay abreast of changes in labor legislation and advise the organization on necessary adjustments.
• Develop and deliver training on HR policies and compliance matters.
• Maintain strong relationships with relevant government bodies and external legal counsel.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Law, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of comprehensive experience as an HR Generalist, with a demonstrated focus on HR compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor laws, BCEA, LRA, EEA, and other relevant legislation.
• Experience in conducting HR investigations and managing disciplinary hearings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
