Placements24 is seeking an HR Generalist with a strong focus on Compliance and Policy to guide our Polokwane team through South African labor laws and regulatory requirements. You will shape and update HR policies, advise on compliance matters, and drive best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with emphasis on labor law compliance.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation and equity frameworks.
• Proven track record developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to South African labor laws and regulations (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Develop, review and update HR policies to align with legal requirements and business needs.
• Conduct regular HR audits to identify compliance gaps and improvements.
• Advise management and staff on policies, procedures and legal matters.
• Manage process of obtaining and maintaining labor law compliance certificates.
• Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and advise the organization accordingly.
• Support HR team in employee relations, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Assist with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training on HR compliance and policy updates.
• Maintain accurate HR records related to compliance.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing retail group, is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Generalist with a focus on Compliance and Policy to join their team in Polokwane, Limpopo. This role is critical for ensuring that all HR practices and policies are compliant with South African labor laws and regulations, and for developing and updating HR policies to support the company's strategic objectives. You will play a key role in advising management and employees on compliance matters and promoting best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of labor law, excellent communication skills, and a meticulous approach to policy development and implementation. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to significantly influence the organization's HR framework.

Key Responsibilities
