Placements24 is seeking a meticulous HR Compliance Specialist for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will ensure HR practices adhere to SA labor laws, mitigate risks, and promote ethical employment standards across distributed teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of HR compliance experience, deep knowledge of SA acts, and the ability to communicate regulatory requirements to all levels remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HR, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR compliance and labor law experience.
• Knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and related SA legislation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SA labor law and regulatory changes impacting HR.
• Develop and update HR policies to ensure compliance.
• Audit HR practices, records and documentation for gaps and fixes.
• Prepare and submit HR reports to government agencies.
• Provide expert advice and training on compliance to HR staff and management.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues with timely action.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes in South African labor law and regulatory requirements impacting HR.
• Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices, records, and documentation to identify and rectify compliance gaps.
• Manage the preparation and submission of required HR-related reports to government agencies.
• Provide expert advice and training to HR staff and management on compliance matters.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues, ensuring timely and appropriate action.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically focused on HR compliance and labor law.
• In-depth knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and other relevant legislation.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies and compliance programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working remotely and managing compliance across distributed teams is highly desirable.
