Placements24 is partnering with a boutique hotel in Stellenbosch to recruit an experienced Front Office Manager who will lead the front desk and guest services from check-in to check-out. The role requires strong leadership, hospitality operations knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to drive guest satisfaction and revenue.

You will manage the front desk team, coordinate with other departments, and maintain high presentation standards in a charming winelands

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Front Office supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience in leading and developing a front desk team.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in PMS such as Opera or Fidelio.
• Knowledge of hotel sales and revenue management principles.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all Front Office operations, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes and guest services.
• Lead, train, and motivate the front desk team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Manage guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure adherence to hotel standards and procedures for the Front Office department.
• Manage room inventory, rates, and occupancy levels in coordination with sales and revenue management.
• Implement and maintain service standards to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare daily reports, including occupancy forecasts and departmental performance.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions for the front desk team.
• Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
• Ensure the lobby and front desk areas are maintained to the highest standards of presentation.
• Implement strategies to upsell services and amenities to guests.
