Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for a distributed workforce. This role ensures accurate and timely salaries and compliance with SA payroll regulations, handling the full cycle from data entry to tax compliance from a remote location.

You will liaise with HR and finance, handle inquiries about payroll, benefits, and deductions, and produce payroll reports for management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll software and systems.
• Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and tax laws.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote work setting.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees on a regular schedule.
• Manage payroll data, ensuring accuracy of employee information, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
• Liaise with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
