Job summary

Cross Border Talents is recruiting a German-speaking Customer Support Agent for an international retail customer service project based in Umhlanga, Durban. You will support German-speaking customers across phone, email and live chat to ensure an excellent shopping experience.

You will handle inquiries about orders, deliveries, returns, product information; provide prompt, accurate service; maintain records; meet service targets; and collaborate with the team to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

• German language proficiency between B2 and C2 (written and spoken).
• Good command of English for internal communication.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification is essential.
• Customer service or call centre experience is advantageous (retail experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Handle customer queries in German via phone, email and live chat.
• Assist customers with retail inquiries such as orders, deliveries, returns, and product information.
• Provide prompt, accurate and friendly service in line with brand expectations.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate complex cases when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of all interactions in internal systems.
• Meet service quality, productivity and customer satisfaction targets.
