Job description

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • A bachelors degree in business administration, management, or related field is essential (MBA preferred).
  • Previous experience within the fluid mechanics / hydraulic or related industries is preferred.
  • Progressive management experience, with experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Must have proven experience managing operations in a South African business environment.
  • Strong understanding of B-BBEE, labour laws, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Must have excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Overseeing daily business operations, drive strategic growth, and lead cross-functional teams in South Africa.
  • Responsible for ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with local laws and industry standards.
  • Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Leading and managing all business departments including operations, finance, hr, sales, and marketing.
  • Monitoring and evaluating overall company performance against KPIs and financial targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with South African legal, tax, labour, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with the finance team.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Leading recruitment, performance management, and staff development to maintain a high-performance team.
  • Identifying new market opportunities and driving business development initiatives.
  • Implementing risk management policies and ensuring the business continuity plan is in place.
  • Promoting a positive company culture and uphold corporate values.
  • Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
