About the Role

This role involves providing on-site technical support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of networking hardware and related equipment at client locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, a thorough understanding of network infrastructure, and excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that client networks are operating efficiently and resolving any technical issues promptly. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, as you will be the primary technical point of contact for many clients. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and manage their service schedule effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network equipment at client sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to networking infrastructure.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring their network systems are functioning optimally.
• Document all service calls, repairs, and installations accurately using company systems.
• Maintain an inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock for service needs.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while on client premises.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and product developments.
• Collaborate with internal support teams to elevate complex issues when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, with a strong focus on networking equipment.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN concepts, and common network protocols.
• Experience with installing and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls from various manufacturers.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and network analysis software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel to client sites.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar are highly desirable.
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
