Job summary

BRILLIANT COMPUTERS CITADEL AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY is seeking an on-site Network Hands & Feet Support professional to assist with remote troubleshooting and remediation at customer locations. You will connect consoles, open racks, verify cabling, and coordinate with the Remote Support Team.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, 2+ years of enterprise network support, knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls, plus excellent communication skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience with console connections and network device installation.
• Familiarity with structured cabling and patch panels.
• Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and work within documented procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote technical teams.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical onsite assistance to enable remote troubleshooting and remediation.
• Connect to network devices via console as instructed by Remote Support Team.
• Provide physical access support to the Remote Support Team (e.g., opening racks, locating devices/ports, power cycling).
• Perform visual verification and reporting of LED status, link status, alarms, fan/power status, and cabling condition.
• Rack mounting/unmounting of network devices per site rules and safety practices.
• Patch and dress cables to basic professional standards.
• Coordinate with Remote Support Team for post-install verification.
• Perform basic level initial actions as instructed (e.g., connect console, grant remote access).
• Follow runbooks and documented procedures without deviation.
