Placements24 is seeking a detail‑oriented Events & Banquet Coordinator for a prestigious venue in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will oversee the flawless execution of weddings, conferences, and corporate functions from planning through post‑event follow‑up, coordinating with catering, AV, and other service providers.

The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to manage budgets, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role in hospitality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events and banquets (weddings, conferences, corporate functions).
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and ensure satisfaction.
• Develop event timelines, floor plans, and seating arrangements.
• Liaise with catering, AV, and service providers for seamless execution.
• Manage event budgets and process client payments accurately.
• Oversee on-site setup and breakdown, ensuring all details are met.
• Conduct pre- and post-event meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Maintain relationships with vendors in Vereeniging area.
• Ensure adherence to venue policies and safety regulations.
