Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Events Catering Coordinator in Vereeniging, Gauteng. This hybrid role balances on-site event coordination with office planning, liaising with clients, coordinating menus, and managing logistics to deliver exceptional catering experiences.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in event or catering coordination, with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination, catering coordination, or a similar role within hospitality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of corporate catering events, from initial client inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring clear communication.
• Develop and customize catering proposals and menus based on client requirements and budget.
• Liaise with the culinary team to finalize menus and ensure timely preparation of food.
• Coordinate with the service staff to ensure smooth execution of events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
• Manage event logistics, including staffing schedules, equipment needs, and venue arrangements.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and company operational procedures.
• Prepare event documentation, including timelines, staffing plans, and floor layouts.
• Conduct venue site visits and pre-event meetings to confirm all details.
• Handle on-site event coordination, troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure client satisfaction.
• Process invoices and manage client payments in coordination with the finance department.
• Gather client feedback to continuously improve service offerings.
