About the Role

Our client, a thriving e-commerce platform focusing on sustainable lifestyle products, is seeking an E-commerce Social Media Engagement Lead to enhance their online community interaction. This role is based in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA, offering a flexible hybrid work arrangement. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage our client's social media communities.
• Actively monitor social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and on-brand manner.
• Proactively initiate conversations and engage with followers to foster a sense of community.
• Identify user-generated content opportunities and encourage community participation.
• Collaborate with the content team to create engaging posts that encourage interaction.
• Manage online brand reputation and address customer service inquiries escalated through social media.
• Analyze engagement metrics and provide insights on community sentiment and interaction trends.
• Liaise with customer support and marketing teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in social media community management or engagement roles, preferably within e-commerce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting engaging and empathetic responses.
• Demonstrated ability to build and nurture online communities.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective community management best practices.
• Experience with social media monitoring and engagement tools.
