Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee and enhance the online retail presence. The role is based in Tembisa, Gauteng, and covers day-to-day operations, strategic development, and performance optimization of the e-commerce platform.

You will drive traffic, improve UX, and maximize conversions while collaborating with marketing, sales, and customer service teams. A strong background in CMS, analytics, and inventory management will be essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in E-commerce, Business, IT, or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in e-commerce platform management or a similar role.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles in e-commerce.
• Proficiency with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Experience with product information management (PIM) and inventory management systems.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working in the Tembisa, Gauteng region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations of the e-commerce website with focus on performance and uptime.
• Implement and manage website updates, features, and integrations with dev teams and vendors.
• Develop and execute UX and conversion optimization strategies.
• Monitor analytics, sales data, and customer feedback for improvements.
• Oversee product catalog management including pricing and inventory.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and customer service for brand consistency.
• Lead A/B testing to optimize performance.
• Stay updated on e-commerce trends and best practices.
• Troubleshoot platform issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with e-commerce regulations and data privacy standards.
