Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to drive development and operational efficiency of the Rustenburg online shop. You will lead platform strategy, oversee vendors, and collaborate with IT, marketing, and customer service to deliver a high-performing experience.

The role requires deep knowledge of major platforms, strong UX and CRO skills, and proven project management ability to oversee complex initiatives within a hybrid work setup in the North West region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business/Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in ecommerce platform management or digital product management.
• Strong technical understanding of major ecommerce platforms.
• Experience leading website development projects with cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in UX and CRO.
• Proficient in web analytics and data analysis.
• Experience with CMS and DAM.
• Excellent PM, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Agile experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the e-commerce platform.
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for platform enhancements and new features.
• Collaborate with IT, marketing, merchandising, and customer service teams to meet business needs.
• Manage third-party vendors and technology partners involved with the platform.
• Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve speed, usability and conversion.
• Ensure platform security, regulatory compliance, and mobile/desktop optimization.
• Manage product catalog data including uploads and SEO-friendly categorisation.
• Oversee integration of new technologies to enhance customer journey and efficiency.
• Analyze platform data and user behaviour to identify improvements.
• Stay current with ecommerce trends and emerging technologies.
