Placements24 is seeking an experienced E‑commerce Platform Manager in Benoni to lead and optimize the company’s online store. You will oversee platform development, integrations, and performance, collaborating with IT, marketing and operations to drive growth.

The role requires strong knowledge of e‑commerce platforms, APIs, and UX best practices, with a focus on delivering a seamless user experience across devices and optimizing SEO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years in e-commerce platform management or product management.
• Experience with major platforms (Magento, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
• Strong API and integration understanding for platform extensions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and ongoing development of the e‑commerce platform.
• Define and manage the platform roadmap, features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Gather requirements from IT, Marketing and Operations; translate to specs.
• Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and tech partners.
• Optimize performance, speed, security and SEO; analyze user behavior.
• Lead implementation of new features, integrations (payments, ERP) and tech.
• Document platform functionalities and processes; monitor emerging technologies.
• Ensure seamless UX across devices; collaborate to drive growth targets.
