Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a technically adept Helpdesk Support Analyst to join their IT support team in Durban. You will deliver first-line technical assistance to internal staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues to keep daily operations running smoothly.

You will work closely with senior IT personnel to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions, while maintaining excellent internal customer service within a collaborative office environment in Durban.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Helpdesk Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, hardware, software, and basic networking.
• Experience with IT support ticketing systems; CompTIA A+ or similar certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and network printers.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets.
• Document all resolved incidents and service requests in the IT helpdesk system.
