Unifyd Solutions is seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical assistance for hardware, software, and networking issues in a Microsoft-centric environment. You will support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365, ensuring timely resolutions and high customer satisfaction.

The role is Durban-based, requiring reliable personal transportation and a customer-focused mindset to handle day-to-day IT operations and user support requests efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of practical IT customer support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Experience in a customer-facing IT support environment.
• Ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid and reliable personal transportation.
• Must be based in or willing to work in Durban.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve Microsoft Windows operating system problems.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, and productivity tools.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device issues.
• Respond to support tickets and service requests within agreed timelines.
• Assist users with software installations, configurations, and updates.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior support teams when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and support activities.
• Deliver excellent customer service and technical assistance to end users.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and knowledge resources.
