Job summary

Ampcus Cyber is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager for the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area to grow enterprise and mid-market accounts in cybersecurity, compliance, and training services. You will develop sales strategies, manage relationships, qualify leads, and coordinate proposals with technical teams.

This role requires on-site presence, strong negotiation, and ability to meet ambitious growth targets in South Africa and the broader region.

Qualifications

• Strong business development, B2B sales, and account management experience in cybersecurity, IT services, or compliance consulting.
• Lead generation, prospecting, and building long-term client relationships in enterprise or regulated industries.
• Pipeline management, forecasting, and using CRM tools to track opportunities and sales activities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with technical, delivery, and marketing teams to shape solutions and proposals.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk, or regulatory compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, HITRUST) is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategies and account plans to win new business.
• Qualify leads, prepare proposals and RFP responses, and deliver client presentations with technical teams.
• Negotiate contracts and track pipeline and revenue performance.
• Provide feedback to product and marketing teams; stay current on industry trends and regulations.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to support market expansion in South Africa and the broader region.
