Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry is essential.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, repair processes and terminology.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS).
• Organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly upon arrival and ascertain their vehicle needs.
• Listen actively to customer concerns and record them on repair orders.
• Advise customers on necessary services and repairs based on technician recommendations.
• Provide accurate cost estimates for labor and parts, and obtain customer approval.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service status.
• Explain completed work and any additional recommendations at delivery.
• Handle inquiries and resolve service-related issues professionally.
• Coordinate with technicians and parts department to ensure timely completion of work.
• Manage the service schedule and ensure efficient workflow within the department.
• Strive for high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Promote additional services, warranties and accessories.
