Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an HR Specialist focused on Compensation and Benefits, based in Polokwane, Limpopo, with hybrid work options. You will design, implement, and administer competitive C&B programs to attract and retain top talent across the region.

The role requires 5+ years in C&B, SA regulatory knowledge, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with HRIS and Excel. Collaboration with HR and finance is essential for budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ C&B management experience.
• Knowledge of SA compensation legislation and market practice.
• Experience with data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage compensation structure, salary ranges, and incentives.
• Administer benefits programs (medical aid, retirement, life insurance).
• Conduct market benchmarking to ensure competitiveness.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improve programs.
• Ensure compliance with SA laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and finance on budgets and forecasts.
• Develop communications on compensation and benefits for staff.
• Manage vendor relationships with providers and brokers.
• Contribute to total rewards and org effectiveness projects.
• Advise HR colleagues and leaders on C&B matters.
