Job summary

GoTo Group SA in Cape Town is seeking a driven Account Manager to generate new business, build a client portfolio from the ground up, and manage the full sales cycle while meeting targets. The role is office-based, Monday to Friday, with commission on top of a monthly salary of up to R25,000 depending on experience.

You will identify opportunities, develop relationships with prospective clients, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or business development roles.
• Ability to build a client portfolio from scratch.
• Competence in prospecting and converting leads.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, approach and secure new business opportunities.
• Build and develop your own portfolio of clients from scratch.
• Generate leads through research, networking and direct outreach.
• Build relationships with prospective clients, introducers and business partners.
• Arrange and lead conversations with potential clients to understand needs and present GOTO's services.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact through to client onboarding.
• Identify opportunities to generate revenue and grow the client base.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
• Track sales activity, pipeline progress and performance against targets.
• Maintain regular communication with prospects and follow up on opportunities.
