Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) seeks a Branch Manager to grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass by shaping and executing the branch strategy. You will lead a team of Sales Consultants, drive a service culture, and ensure compliant operations across daily activities.

The role requires 5+ years in the insurance/financial services sector with leadership experience, CPD compliance, and a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and performance management.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• RE1 and RE5 certifications.
• Wealth Management credits or FSCA-recognised qualification.
• Class of Business accreditation mandatory.
• CPD compliance current and past cycles required.

Responsibilities

• Grow customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through branch strategy execution.
• Guide and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in the branch.
• Lead service delivery culture and ensure optimal client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and management of the Retail branch.
• Drive branch strategy development and business planning.
• Ensure sales delivery and establish a service culture.
• Ensure compliance, quality, and risk management.
• Manage operational people practices in collaboration with HR.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
• Identify stakeholders and develop engagement tactics to build relationships.
