Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM), a subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited, seeks an experienced Branch Manager in South Africa to drive customer base growth and revenue for the Retail Mass division. You will guide Sales Consultants, ensure service excellence, and oversee branch operations with a strong emphasis on compliance and people management.

The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and a track record in lending or credit.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Service management experience is essential.
• Credit and lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through branch strategy execution.
• Guide and align Sales Consultants with branch goals.
• Lead a service culture for optimal client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day branch management and strategic planning.
• Ensure sales delivery, compliance, quality and risk management.
• Drive people practices for direct reports with HR collaboration.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to build relationships.
