Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is seeking a Branch Manager to grow the customer base and revenue for the Retail Mass segment. You will guide multiple Sales Consultants, drive a service culture, and manage day-to-day branch operations in alignment with strategy.

The role requires 5+ years in the industry, including 3 years in leadership, CPD compliance, and experience in service management, credit, and lending. A strong focus on stakeholder engagement and regulatory awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) required.
• RE1 and RE5 mandatory.
• 120 Wealth Management credits OR FSCA-recognised tertiary qualification.
• Class of Business accreditation (annual).
• Compliant with CPD current and past cycles.
• Minimum of 5 years recent industry experience, 3 years in leadership.
• Service Management experience is essential.
• Credit and lending experience.

Responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass by developing and overseeing the branch strategy.
• Guide, integrate, and standardise activities, goals and objectives of Sales Consultants in the branch.
• Lead a service delivery culture and ecosystem to enable an optimal client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and management of the Retail branch and business planning.
• Ensure retail branch sales delivery and establish a service culture; ensure compliance and risk management.
• Oversee operational people practices with HR on talent, performance, development and grievances.
• Plan and report monthly on sales and service activities in the branch.
• Identify stakeholders and engage to build and maintain relationships.
