Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in banqueting or event management in hospitality.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent understanding of F&B service standards and events.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
• Evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by events in Klerksdorp.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ideally event management software.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field advantageous.
• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and manage the banqueting team to ensure high service standards.
• Oversee setup and execution of all banquets and events for smooth operation.
• Collaborate with F&B Manager and Executive Chef to align service with cuisine.
• Manage client requirements and expectations to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and implement service standards and SOPs for banqueting.
• Control inventory and ensure adequate stock and maintenance.
• Manage event budgets and monitor costs related to banqueting.
• Conduct pre-event staff briefings and post-event debriefings for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
