Placements24 is seeking an experienced Banqueting Manager for its client in Rustenburg, North West. You will oversee banqueting operations for high-profile events, coordinating with kitchen, service and logistics teams to ensure flawless execution.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years in banqueting management, strong leadership, budget control, and outstanding client relationships. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Relocation to Rustenburg is welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in banqueting management or related hospitality role.
• Proven leadership in busy events or catering environments.
• Excellent understanding of event planning, food & beverage service, and staff management.
• Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all banqueting events to ensure smooth operations on the day.
• Lead, train, and manage banqueting service staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and meet or exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with culinary team to finalize menus and ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee setup and breakdown of event spaces per BEOs and client specs.
• Manage event budgets, control costs and optimize revenue.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct pre- and post-event briefings to identify improvements.
• Maintain inventory of banqueting equipment and supplies.
• Act as main client contact during events and resolve issues promptly.
