Placements24 seeks an Events and Banqueting Manager for a premier venue in Klerksdorp, North West. The role oversees planning, coordinating and delivering a wide range of events on-site to meet client visions and ensure memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in event management, strong logistics, budgeting acumen, and leadership of an events team, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in event management, preferably in venue/hotel settings.
• Strong understanding of event logistics, catering operations, and AV requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, client management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute all events and banquets at the venue.
• Liaise with clients from inquiry through to completion, providing expert guidance.
• Develop proposals, menus, floor plans, and timelines for events.
• Manage budgets to ensure profitability and meet targets.
• Coordinate with catering, AV, sales and operations for seamless delivery.
• Oversee on-site setup, execution and breakdown.
• Lead and train the events team to deliver service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
