Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized and creative Banqueting and Events Coordinator for a prestigious hotel in Cape Town. You will plan, execute and manage all banqueting and event functions from initial client contact to post-event follow-up.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, with opportunities to work on high-profile events and access to hotel facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Events Coordinator or similar role in hospitality, preferably banqueting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with client relationship focus.
• Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Passion for delivering exceptional event experiences and keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of banqueting and event logistics, including room setup, catering, AV, and scheduling.
• Liaise with clients to understand needs, provide proposals, and ensure successful event execution.
• Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and floor plans meeting stakeholder requirements.
• Manage event budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate with F&B, AV, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service on event days.
