Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to manage Mahikeng's pool facilities and related programs, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The role includes supervising lifeguards, coordinating swimming lessons, water fitness classes, and recreational swim opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in pool operations, maintenance, and water chemistry, plus a commitment to safety and community recreation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the aquatic centre, ensuring safety protocols and regulations are followed.
• Supervise and train lifeguards and swim instructors, scheduling shifts and conducting performance reviews.
• Develop, implement, and promote aquatics programs including swimming lessons, water aerobics, and recreational swimming.
• Manage pool maintenance, chemical balancing, and overall cleanliness for water quality and safety.
• Respond to emergencies, administer first aid, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage the aquatics budget, including equipment procurement and staffing costs.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Aquatics Coordinator to manage their pool facilities and related programs in Mahikeng . This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency for the aquatic centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pool management, lifeguard supervision, and aquatics programming, coupled with excellent organizational and leadership skills. You will be key in providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons, offering a variety of swimming lessons, water fitness classes, and recreational swim opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
