About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Aquatics Coordinator to manage all aspects of their swimming facilities and programs in Upington . This role involves overseeing aquatic operations, including swim lessons, lifeguard supervision, pool maintenance, and special aquatic events. You will ensure the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction for all pool users. This position is vital for promoting water safety and providing high-quality recreational swimming opportunities within the Upington community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive aquatic programs , including swim lessons and water fitness classes.
• Supervise and train lifeguards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Oversee the daily operation and cleanliness of the swimming pool and related facilities.
• Manage pool chemical levels and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs.
• Promote aquatic programs and activities to the community.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons.

Requirements

• Current Lifeguard certification and First Aid/CPR certification are mandatory.
• Experience in aquatics management or supervision, preferably in a facility setting.
• Strong knowledge of pool operations, water chemistry, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff and schedules effectively.
