Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aquatics Center Manager in Nelspruit to oversee daily pool operations, safety protocols, staff management, and programming development, delivering an outstanding member experience.

The role requires Lifeguard certification, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), and preferably Pool Operator (CPO), with strong leadership, communication, and community engagement to ensure high safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in aquatics management or supervision.
• Current Lifeguard certification and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification are essential.
• Pool Operator certification (CPO) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pool operations, safety procedures, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of daily pool operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate lifeguards and aquatics staff.
• Develop and implement a variety of aquatics programs, such as swimming lessons, water aerobics, and competitive swim teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Oversee pool maintenance, chemical balancing, and equipment upkeep.
• Manage the aquatics budget, including revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
