Position: Temporary Accountant (6-Month Contract) – with a strong possibility of it becoming permanent based on performance and output.

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented accountant to join our team on a temporary 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial and accounting practices, with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

1. This position requires strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
2. The role will involve working across all business units within Hazendal ombud (Hospitality, Wine, Retail).
3. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO to help update outstanding records and assist in developing and institutionalizing new policies and procedures for the entire business.
4. Must have experience with SAGE INTACCT – this is non-negotiable.
5. Knowledge of wine administration (excise, stock control, etc.) will be advantageous.
6. Candidates must be registered CA(SA) or AGA(SA) – this is non-negotiable.
