Laboratory Technician Jobs in Reno

A Laboratory Technician will support scientific and diagnostic testing operations by preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and assisting with quality control of test methods and medical devices. This role works closely with the R&D and QC teams to ensure accurate, reliable results and maintain a compliant lab environment in support of product development and validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, and process biological and material samples for analysis
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments, including viscoelastic coagulation analyzers
• Perform routine testing and data collection following established protocols
• Assist with test method development and validation
• Document results accurately and maintain detailed lab records
• Support internal audits and quality assurance activities
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Communicate findings to scientists and engineers to support continual improvement

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience in clinical, biotech, or manufacturing testing environments
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and basic scientific methods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to standard operating procedures
• Proficient with data entry and MS Office applications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field (preferred)
