Renown Health in Reno, Nevada is seeking a qualified individual to ensure accuracy in laboratory procedures. This role requires a combination of clinical laboratory experience and certification, along with the ability to communicate effectively across various healthcare teams.
The successful candidate will demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, collaborate with IT and regulatory teams, and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to while providing patient care.
This position functions are to ensure operational, quality and technical accuracy for all pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical procedures in specific lab departments.
The incumbent serves as the subject matter expert and demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as they arise. In addition, they must be able to perform all the duties as outlined in the Medical Lab Scientist and the Medical Lab Scientist Senior job descriptions (Histotechnologist job descriptions for 200290) as assigned by the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
The incumbent is expected to collaborate with IT and LIS analysts on a regular basis.
Renown Health is a 24-hour/7-days a week operation, providing laboratory services to both inpatient and outpatients of all ages. The incumbent must be able to communicate with a diverse patient population and their family when performing special procedures.
The incumbent must be knowledgeable of and observe all safety requirements in a laboratory and hospital setting.
This position does provide patient care.
