Job summary

A leading contract research organization in Reno, NV is seeking a Veterinary Technician I to assist veterinarians with documentation and management of laboratory animal health. Responsibilities include daily health observations, technical skills, and maintaining records. Ideal candidates will have a college degree in veterinary technology and related experience. Competitive pay is offered at $28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years related experience working with animals in a pre-clinical laboratory or clinical setting.
• LVT license or CVT/RVT certification preferred.
• Must have Vet Tech in Training (VTIT) if uncertified and achieve certification within 12-18 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary staff in documentation and triage of animal health cases.
• Perform routine veterinary technical skills.
• Maintain appropriate medical records for each animal.
