Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and record keeping.
• Identifies problems that may adversely affect test results and escalates as needed.
• Participates in CMS proficiency testing and maintains competency records.
• Adheres to quality control policies and documents calibrations and maintenance.
• Performs and documents corrective action for non-conforming events.
• Achieves and maintains competency for all assigned areas within the lab.
• Prioritizes STAT, Time Critical, and routine testing to optimize turnaround times.
• Communicates accurate, timely results and abnormal findings to health care providers.
