Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Lubbock, TX is seeking a 1st shift warehouse leader to drive a multi-product distribution system. You will partner with Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Purchasing, EH&S and Quality to deliver safe, efficient shipments and exemplary customer experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Workplace safety/Zero harm is a priority focus.
• Knowledge of transportation systems operational nuances (Small parcel, LTL, TL, Intermodal, Rail, Air, Water).
• Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and shift priorities easily.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the distribution center to achieve zero harm and on-time deliveries.
• Promote a safety-first, high-performance work environment.
• Lead inbound, outbound, returns and value-added service processes.
• Ensure service to domestic and international customers.
• Develop distribution strategies for high service levels and optimal inventory placement.
• Manage end-to-end budgeting, policies and business strategy for NDC operations.
• Implement continuous process improvement, Kaizen and Six Sigma initiatives.
