Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for our Lubbock, TX plant. You will direct a team to hit daily schedules in the assembly/fabrication of sub-assemblies, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements include a university degree or2-year degree with experience, 2nd shift availability, and proficiency with MS Office. Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred and a strong commitment to safety is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• University degree with minimum experience or equivalent education.
• Experience as Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Availability to work 2nd shift (Mon-Sat:2:30PM-1:00AM).
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience utilizing Lean tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in assembly/fabrication.
• Control costs within budget levels by minimizing scrap and rework.
• Anticipate and react to production problems or delays, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions.
• Provide technical assistance for equipment malfunctions and expedite repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement improvements in cost reduction and production scheduling.
• Supervise, evaluate, and train the workgroup; assist in accident investigation and corrective action.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Maintain accurate production and employee records.
• Apply LEAN tools to measure and enhance department KPIs.
