Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a leader to guide our distribution center in Lubbock, TX. The role focuses on safe, efficient operations and close collaboration with Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Purchasing, EHS, and Quality to deliver perfect shipments and optimal efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Workplace safety/Zero harm is a priority focus.
• Knowledge of transportation systems operational nuances (Small parcel, less than Truckload, Truckload, Intermodal, Rail, Air, Water).
• Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Must be able to manage stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements as well as the ability to multi-task and to shift priorities easily.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution center operations to ensure safe, efficient processes.
• Develop and implement strategies for on-time shipments and optimal inventory placement.
• Manage inbound, outbound, return and value-added service processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
