Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking a Program Coordinator under the supervision of the Unit Director to assist with implementing, evaluating and promoting program activities across STEM, Social Recreation, Creative Arts, Career Exploration, Leadership & Service and Health & Wellness.

You will support Youth Development Professionals, help monitor programs, track attendance and participate in required training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Associate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct youth service experience and plan/implement youth programs. BSAC training within 3 months of employment.
• Must submit three professional references.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications, or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promotes daily learning center program participation and designated national/special event programs.
• Assists Youth Development Professionals with orienting new members to program areas, events, and safety rules.
• Provides guidance and role modeling to members and YDPs.
• Assists YDPs with implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs, services and activities for members.
• Supports evaluation of Club programs using outcomes to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Plans recognition of members for program participation and achievement.
• Maintains records to track attendance and participation for pre/post surveys.
• Promotes and stimulates program participation.
• Assists YDPs with maintaining order and discipline of Club members.
• Demonstrates leadership to ensure conduct, safety and development of members.
• Attends required meetings and staff trainings to ensure a productive work environment.
• Helps ensure program areas are attractive, neat and current; coordinates repairs as needed.
