Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain seeks a Youth Development Professional to plan, organize and implement diversified youth programs under unit supervision. You will promote learning, supervise staff and volunteers, and help ensure a safe, engaging club environment.

The role emphasizes guiding youth, facilitating activities, maintaining records, and supporting program quality with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
• Preferred: ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Preferred: excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success.
• Create an environment that facilitates youth outcomes.
• Promote daily learning center participation and special programs.
• Orient new members to program area and safety rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement, monitor and evaluate programs and activities.
• Develop and post weekly/monthly program plans.
• Maintain records of attendance and participation.
• Supervise volunteers and program assistants.
• Ensure the learning area is clean, safe and well organized.
