Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, organize, promote, and implement diversified program areas for members. You will foster a safe, engaging environment and guide members toward positive outcomes.

The role emphasizes youth-centered programming, supervision of volunteers, and collaboration with staff to deliver quality activities. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a supportive club network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience working with youth is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success.
• Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote and stimulate daily learning center program participation and events.
• Orient new members to program areas, events, and safety/disciplines.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement, monitor and evaluate programs and activities for members.
• Maintain attendance and participation records.
• Supervise volunteers and program assistants; support club operations.
• Keep the learning space clean, safe, and well organized.
• Contribute to teamwork by participating in staff meetings and activities.
