Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, organize, promote, and implement diversified programs for BGCCP’s core areas. This role supports youth outcomes and engagement in club activities.

You will supervise volunteers, develop weekly plans, ensure program safety, and collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences for youth in a supportive community setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Utilize free and donated supplies and encourage donations from community contacts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success.
• Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote and stimulate daily learning center program participation.
• Orients new members to program area, events, and safety rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implements, monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities for members.
• Develops and posts weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitors safety and quality of programs.
• Recognizes club members for participation and achievement.
• Maintain attendance records and CACFP point of service if applicable.
• Maintain orderly supplies and space.
