Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Director to lead Afterschool and Day Camp programs in the Katy ISD area. You will build a high-performing team and ensure engaging, safe experiences for children and families.

Responsibilities include program quality, staff coaching, budgeting, community engagement, and oversight of operations to deliver high-quality youth development programs aligned with Y standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years previous experience including 2 years supervisory experience in licensed childcare
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent (preferred)
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to meet director qualifications
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention trainings

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of high-quality youth development programs in afterschool and outdoor day camp
• Ensure compliance with state/local regulations and YMCA standards
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff to meet licensing standards
• Oversee budgets, payroll, and fiscal goals for programs
• Develop and implement marketing, community engagement, and family outreach initiatives
• Build relationships with school districts, families, and community partners
• Lead program evaluations and data-driven improvements
• Support annual fundraising campaigns and project teams
