Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to support before/after school and day camp programs in Katy. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and compassion to create a safe, engaging environment where youth feel valued and supported.

Part-time roles require strong supervision, positive behavior guidance, and the ability to connect with families and school staff. You may participate in trainings and lead diverse, inclusive activities across program spaces.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed setting.
• CPR/First Aid/AED training or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and supervise children during activities.
• Lead age-appropriate, engaging activities and games.
• Foster inclusive environment and positive behavior.
• Build relationships with youth, families, and staff.
• Ensure sign-in/out and adherence to program policies.
