Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston Youth Development Director oversees afterschool and outdoor day camp programs in the Katy area. You will create a safe, engaging atmosphere, recruit and coach site leads and counselors, and ensure fiduciary responsibility while delivering high-quality youth programming.

You will partner with families and community partners to meet licensing standards, evaluate programs, and drive continuous improvement across sites with strong communication and planning skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience, including 2 years in supervision of licensed childcare.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent (preferred).
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention trainings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-quality afterschool and day camp programs.
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards and safety policies.
• Recruit, hire, and coach program staff to meet DFPS standards.
• Monitor budgets, billing, and payroll related tasks.
