Job summary

YMCA of Coastal Georgia seeks a Youth Development Director to lead after-school care, day camps, teen programs, and related youth activities at the branch. You will oversee quality, safety, staffing, and licensing compliance, while driving community impact.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, volunteer coordination, and partnerships with schools and families to deliver engaging, healthy programs year-round.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent knowledge of child development principles.
• 1–2 years related experience coordinating childcare programs preferred.
• Must complete state licensing trainings and obtain background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate school age childcare and day camp programs.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Develop budgets and monitor program expenditures.
• Ensure licensing compliance and maintain records.
• Develop sports and teen programs and activities.
• Organize special events and community partnerships.
